Easy Trick for Great Tasting Rolls
So let’s face it, sometimes you just don’t want to make homemade bread. Maybe there’s not enough time, ingredients… or patience. Well folks, you’re in luck because Shan is sharing her easy trick for using frozen rolls and making them taste homemade!
First thing get you some frozen rolls. Doesn’t matter what kind or the brand, but we usually grab the Rhodes yeast rolls.
Place them on a buttered baking dish and let them rise.
Quick Rise Tips: place the pan over a pot of boiling water. The steam will help for a quicker rise. Or heat the oven to 200 degrees F. with a pan of water on the bottom rack. Turn the oven off then place the rolls on the top rack and let rise.
Once they’ve risen, lightly brush them with a little butter.
Now here’s the real trick: sprinkle the tops of the rolls with a mixture of
1 teaspoon poppy seeds, 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic and 1 teaspoon dried minced onion.
Pop them in the oven and bake according to the directions on the package.
That’s it! Now you have a roll with a great homemade flavor that you didn’t have to spend hours making. Hope ya’ll enjoyed Shan’s tip.
