Let me tell you something, after reading most of the recipes and stories (of course I don’t want to use the book all up at one time). I know I have the confidence to use canned food and just by adding some extra goodness my meals and dishes taste 1000% better.

Received the book and taco seasoning in good order. Loved both…especially the taco seasoning! I expect to order more soon. Here in the Arizona desert we will use a bit more than Kent’s recipe of 3 tablespoons per 2 pounds of ground beef. Possibly almost twice that amount. We’ve tried all kinds of taco seasonings out here (including our own) and we find Kent’s to be one of, if not the, best! Thanks for a great product.

Now I have two great books to cook from. Also I love the Kent’s stories and tales. Reminds me of my younger years in Eastern Mt.

I have enjoyed the book as much as the videos I discovered via Facebook! It’s not just a wonderful collections of recipes. Cowboy Kent tells wonderful stories and I spent a day curled up with cowboy coffee enjoying them.
The sour dough starter is quick and easy! of you don’t want to babysit one for a week this is the route to go!!

I love this cook book. I come from a long line of cowboys. But, I am in, my family what you would call a city slicker. As much as my family shames me for my city lifestyle, I’m still a cowboy like the rest of them. Even rode a Bull for 2 seconds named skeletor.
This cook book takes me back to my child hood in the mountains of Idaho and Arizona. My grandfather cooked a on a wood burning stove in a sheep camp much like Bertha. That stove wasn’t just for cooking either. Kept you warm on cold snowy winter nights.
Thank you for showing my how to cook like my grandfather and all the cowboys who ever cooked food for me using a Dutch oven and a campfire. I get to pass on these meals to my children. My daughter and I enjoy cooking cakes and desserts durning evening fires in our backyard.

This is the first cookbook, but my wife and I bought it second. It has many great recipes, is well written, and I swear I hear Kent’s voice as I read it. I’m sure our kids or grandkids will want these some day.

This cookbook is so good, I ordered one for my Father-in-law, he’s a rancher, and he made a few recipes, which were so delicious. I ended up ordering another one for myself.
Best chicken fried steak recipe on the planet! On many and the hominy casserole is a weekly staple in our house.
The recipe shows his updated recipe from YT.

I love the cookbook. I soon as I received the book, I made the hodgepodge soup. It was very good. I have tried a number of your recipes over the years of watching you on Utube and was never disappointed. Even my Vietnamese wife loves your American recipes. I have always loved to cook and cook daily. You have taken me up a few notches on the chef ladder.
Let’s not forget your Tales from the trail. I enjoy reading them while the flavors are getting married in my pot.

Yes this is a neat book. Love the stories, going to try the recipes, we camp and ride all over I. Big and small groups and am a beginner in the cast iron and Dutch oven stuff so all ur videos are helpful and most of all thanks for the humor and no foul language.

I bought this book for my brother’s birthday. He loves it! I sat down with it and looked through the stories, the photos and recipes. The book is beautiful and can even be a coffee table book. We are very satisfied and happy with the purchase. I also bought him a t-shirt, which he loves!
