Our Original blend was first created as a steak rub, but then we got to using it on everything but the coffee and the biscuits! This is a perfect all-purpose seasoning and/or meat rub. It will replace your salt and pepper routine. Our seasoning brings out the natural flavors of food without overpowering them. A salt and pepper base with a just hint of citrus, this will be a go-to seasoning.
Description
Available in 16.5 oz plastic bottle or 3 lb. bulk bag
Ingredients: salt, spices (including celery), sugar, dehydrated garlic, dehydrated onion, lemon peel, corn starch, maltodextrin, paprika, citric acid, turmeric, extractives of paprika, extractives of turmeric (color), lemon oil, and not more than 2% sunflower oil added as a processing aid.

Ive used pappys santa maria style seasoning for the last 30 years i love it because i was raised there every Sunday the old part of town fills up with miles of huge BBQ pits filled with beef and chicken anyways the Pappys seasoning is the closest i could find However you original has in it the exact taste and flavor that’s supposed to be there it’s incredible I am a Original loyalist from this point on say goodbye to pappys hello Kent Rollins thanks so much its so good and now is my staple for grilling and open flame cooking thanks again

Let me tell ya all something; recently I made a big batch of burgers on the grill out back. I had a number of friends and family over as usual and our guests were going to town on them burgers. As fast I made a batch they was getting gobbled up. Finally at the end of cooking, I got to sit down and have a burger of my own. Mighty fine I thought. The repeat guests asked what did I do differently to these burgers? Kent’s Original got all the credit and for sure I’ll never be without it again. The pickiest eaters were even having seconds; I was very pleased with the results.

Hello there.
So far we have used the original seasoning on boneless pork ribs. We really liked it.
We have 2 of your cookbooks and the latest will arrive today so I will be using the seasoning more as I try more recipes. I love trying new recipes.
I have not tried the mesquite yet that I previously ordered but we have ordered the dip mix twice now. We will be making that to take for our upcoming side by side trip to Moab, UT. I will be sure to let the group know where to order because I think they will love it.
We have made about 15 recipes between the 2 books we have and love most of them. Love these books. I am hoping there will be a good way to make brisket like Rudy’s out there in OK. We lived in Elk City and Yukon a few years back and are now in OR taking care of my Mom. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful and has a lot of great seafood but they smother everything with BBQ sauce and call it good.
I would give a 5 star rating to the cookbooks, the dip mix and the original seasoning.

I bought this seasoning around Christmas, and I thought that I’d never get through it, because the container is pretty big. I was wrong. I use it on everything, and I will have to order another before long. My absolute favorite all purpose seasoning, and it is SO good on eggs, beef, chicken, onions—pretty much everything.

Latest update, just had to revisit the review. I used this seasoning today on hard boiled cackle berries for breakfast. Look out, just fantastic. Then my wife made sweet corn on the cob for lunch, put butter on, then the seasoning nothing else, this is a happy dance seasoning!! BOOM, It was a phenomenal taste with the sweet corn. I’m tellin ya, buy this and you will find a new joy in “fine dining”.

I used this for the griddle as well as the grill. On just about any recipe I try, this adds flavor and a great taste. Kent’s cookbook is a also a treasure chest of great ideas for all his spices and sauces, grab a copy along with this original seasoning like I did and totally enjoy his trail of taste. You will not be disappointed.

I have been in the hunt for a good season. I have tried alot. Some I like and some I didn’t. Some too pricy. I purchase the original season alone with the rib rub, This past weekend I use the Original on a whole bird. I must say that favor is awesome. Original. That is. Wife and friends enjoyed it . so much. On the fourth I use your rib rub on a five hour smoke. I only wish that I had purchase your bbq sauce. I know now my search for seasonings and a excellent rub is over. I also purchase both towels. I use them drying I must say they do not disappoint. Good products.

If there was a way to give this more stars, I would. The original seasoning is my own “secret weapon” for grilling. We have friends over often and because of the success I have had with this seasoning, I usually will grill chicken thighs. Just about without fail, people ask me how I cooked the chicken to get it so delicious. I really don’t want to tell them because it is so simple. “I use Kent Rollins original rub”. Doesn’t sound impressive but it is. I grill on a Kamado style cooker, which I think helps, but the seasoning is the star. I have tried other brands, nothing has come close. I sound like an advertisement for Kent, and I am. If you have not wanted to try it because you have to order it and have it shipped, put your concerns aside and do it. OR!!!! I noticed today that Atwoods is now carrying his products. I am going to go get a few of the other seasonings that I have not tried yet. I’ve used the original seasoning on all kinds of things, and it’s been great. I have used several of the shakers of it as well as buying the bulk bag to refill shakers.
The most recent use was while making breakfast for my boys. I came home from work at 6am, and realized I had forgotten to get any breakfast food for the boys. I found a bag of frozen hash browns, threw them in a skillet, chopped up a quarter onion to go in with them, and seasoned fairly heavy with original seasoning. They were great, and the boys (9yo twins) loved them. I scrambled a half dozen cackle berries for them to split, and they were in high cotton.

This is my second order of this seasoning blend. I have used it on Beef, Pork, Chicken and everything else, it is THAT good. I even tried it on fried eggs and while good, I probably won’t do that again. Thanks Kent & Shannon for this treat in a bottle.
