This tool is handmade out of mesquite wood right here in our shop in Texas, and is ideal for cast iron! Use to clean cast iron to safely loosen stuck on material. Perfect to cook with to stir, break up hamburger meat and other cooking tasks. The wooden edge won’t damage or remove your seasoning.
Features “Kent Rollins” logo and measures 11.5 long x 2 wide (at the widest point) x 3/8″ thick.
Care: We recommend washing with hot water and allowing to completely dry. Wipe with any food grade oil after each use. Store in a dry place.

I had bought a set of two on Amazon with a different brand before I bought this one. I have had the opportunity to try out both products. Kent’s spatula is thicker and a lot better quality than most of the ones you’ll find on the market. Also they did a great job of sealing the wood without using it any harmful wood sealing methods which is a big deal when you look at commercial cowboy spatulas. The quality in Kent’s wood spatula really shines when scraping bits out of cast-iron or carbon steel. The angle on the end of the spatula is perfect and will hold up undamaged when scraping on cast iron without harming the seasoning. I will probably buy a second one here soon.

I bought 2 of these spatulas to use at our off-grid cabin in Alaska (we live in Utah), and I used one of them for the first time in one of our cast iron skillets about 2 wks ago cooking scrambled eggs, and it was SO AMAZING!!!! So I ordered 3 more to make sure that I have backups, and that there are now decent odds that I’ll have at least one of them around for the rest of my days!

The more that we are using it the more that we are liking it. Still a bit on the fence and using the spatula and cleaning the cast iron. Then in time we should get both more comfortable as well as better at using it!

I ordered two of the Mesquite Wood Cast Iron Spatulas, one for myself
and one for my daughter, who also is an adamant cast iron cook.
They are well made and will last many years with proper care.
I am very satisfied with the spatula, if I were to make one suggestion
it would be to add a hole in the handle so the spatula could be stored
by hanging on a hook.
I will continue to watch and enjoy the Cowboy Kent Rollins videos with
recipes and the proper care and feeding of your cast iron.
