Due to the high volume of requests and the wide variety of antique cast iron - we do not identify cast iron. However, we've got some resources to start with that will hopefully help. Google is also a great resource. Type in any identifying features of your cast iron, and you can also search for images.

If you click on the "Recipes" tab at the top of our website, you'll be able to search for our blog recipes on the right-hand side of the page in the search bar.

You can also go to our YouTube channel and on the top right-hand of the screen, you'll see a search icon next to the About tab. You can search all our recipes there as well. If you don't find a recipe there, chances are we don't have it published. We also have recipes in our cookbooks, A Taste of Cowboy and Faith, Family and the Feast.

Please use our recipes as a suggestion starting point and feel free to make any needed substitutions or additions based on your tastes, dietary needs, etc. Because of the wide variety of recipes and possible substitutions, Google is a great place to start for substitutions suggestions or dietary alternatives (i.e. "what is a non-dairy substitute for cheese", etc.) This will give you more alternatives than we can.

We have two published cookbooks available: A Taste of Cowboy and Faith, Family and the Feast. Signed copies are available on our website's store page. These books are also available at your favorite book retailer. Each book has unique recipes and there are no duplicate recipes in the books.

When deep-frying, oil can be strained, stored in an airtight container in a cool place and used 2 to 3 more times, for up to 3 months. If frying fish, only use the oil for fish. For disposal, let the oil cool and scrape into a disposable container. Wrap in a plastic bag and place in the garbage.
