Bacon Jalapeno Cheeseburger Pizza on a wooden cutting board

Bacon Jalapeno Cheeseburger Pizza

It is hard to beat the flavor of homemade pizza fresh off the grill, especially when it tastes like a loaded bacon cheeseburger. This Bacon Jalapeno Cheeseburger Pizza is piled high with seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, jalapeños, onions, plenty of cheese, and a quick homemade crust that comes together in about five minutes.

We appreciate you sharing our recipes with your friends and family!

Make the Toppings First

Start by browning some ground beef in a cast iron skillet. An 80/20 blend works best because it keeps the meat flavorful and juicy. Once the beef is nearly cooked, season it well and set it aside while you fry the bacon until crispy. Chop up some onion and jalapeños while everything cooks. If you prefer less heat, remove the seeds from the peppers, but do not leave them out entirely because they really balance the richness of the pizza.

Tip: For the best cheeseburger flavor, use both fresh jalapeños and crispy bacon. The freshness and crunch help keep the pizza from tasting too heavy.

Five Minute Pizza Dough

The dough is one of my favorite parts of this recipe because there is no waiting around for it to rise. Flour, butter, warm water, and seasonings come together fast for a crust that bakes up crisp on the outside while staying tender inside. Roll it thin if you like a crispy crust or leave it thicker for more chew. A little cornmeal underneath helps keep the crust from sticking and gives it that pizza shop texture.

Instead of traditional pizza sauce, this recipe uses ketchup mixed with spicy mustard for that true cheeseburger taste. Spread the sauce lightly over the dough, then layer on the beef, bacon, onions, jalapeños, and cheese.

If you have our Cowboy Ketchup and Sweet & Spicy Mustard on hand, use that, but if you don't - this recipe will be delicious with what you have on hand.

Tip: Preheat your cast iron or pizza stone before you cooking. This helps get a crispy crust and prevents soggy pizza.

Cook the pizza at about 400 degrees on the grill or in the oven until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted. Let it cool a minute before slicing so everything stays together when you pick up a piece.
