Oil the wok or large cast iron skillet with pork lard.
Add the garlic, shallot, and chilies and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in the sausage and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the egg, stirring constantly. Slowly stir in the rice.
Season to taste with the soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, and MSG.
Top with green onions and serve warm.
