Cream Cheese Sausage Casserole - Cowboy Kent Rollins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground pork breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 - 2 4 oz cans chopped green chiles optional
  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. F. Butter a 9x13-inch casserole dish
  • In a medium skillet, brown the sausage over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in the cream cheese, until melted. Stir in the green chiles, if using.
  • Unroll 1 can of the crescent rolls and place along the bottom of the casserole dish. Evenly spoon the sausage mixture on top. Top with the remaining can of crescent rolls.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown. About 5 minutes, before the casserole is finished with cooking, sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and bake until melted. Let cool slightly before serving.
