Not only are the stories in the book that are totally interesting. The recipes are fantastic. I grew up on a farm riding horses and herding cattle and field work.. When it came to lunch time My mother would bring out some of the best homemade meals you could think of. This book brings back a lot memories from that time. These recipes are fantastic and since I am retired now, I put together a lot of them. Ready to get another of Kents books to keep the good meals Rollin.

Hi there Allen! Fill the coffee pot up to the bottom of the spout with water. Sorry if that isn't clear! After the water and the coffee boils for 2 to 3 minutes, let the coffee sit for 1 to 2 minutes and then, if using a 3 quart coffee pot, use 1/2 - 3/4 cups cold water to settle the grounds. If you are using a 2 gallon pot, use 1 1/2 cup cold water at the end, but you will still fill the water to the bottom of the spout. I hope this helps!

In your " A Taste of Cowboy Cookbook " on page 44, the recipe for cowboy coffee, you use a 2-gallon coffee pot, but you only add 1½ cups of cold water. Is this correct or should it be 1½ gallons of cold water?

One of the top cookbooks I own.
So grateful to you Kent for making this your career, for writing this book and going on youtube so I could stumble upon you.
I watch everything, but I like books, cooking and stories and this book has it all.
