For the seasoned chef, the occasional hash slinger or anyone just dying to discover their inner chuckwagon cook…Kent offers Chuckwagon Cooking Bootcamp!
Students will arrive to a scene from an old cow camp located in Southwest Oklahoma, overlooking the Red River. Sleep in comfortable ranch teepees on a cot and cowboy roll. Wake-up comes early, but it’s worth it for the awesome sunrise.
Participants will learn how to cook chuckwagon staples just like on the old wagon trails. Kent will also teach the proper ways to season and clean cast iron as well as share his knowledge of the catering business.

Students arrive at the Red River Ranch near Hollis, Oklahoma in the afternoon. This evening is spent familiarizing student’s with the camp and getting settled. Kent will fix an authentic cowboy meal and students are encouraged to jump in
to help!

Relax- a teepee nap or stroll along the Red River.
It’s graduation day! Time to show what you’ve learned. All students will be in charge of a portion of the evening’s meal which will be served for approximately 50 of the locals.
